As we approach the new year, its good to reflect on what we've learned in 2012 in effort to move forward and make the best of our 2013.  Oprah's recent article hit the nail on the head for me... thought I'd share ;-)

Consumer interest in sustainable and organic foods is bridging the bond between animal lovers and the care and feeding of their pets with the introduction of Happy Tails Organic Treats for dogs and cats.

“We as consumers have become very conscious of what we eat so why shouldn’t we also want to provide our pets with quality, healthy foods?” says Andrew Fleshner, co-founder of Happy Tails. “Our treats are all organic, professionally baked and hand-made with wholesome, natural ingredients that support the animals well-being.  And, they taste good.  We know. We’ve tried them!”

Happy Tails Organic Treats are available in 6 oz. or 10 oz. packages in six flavors: pumpkin pie, carrot patch, surf ‘n surf (seafood blend), pb&c (peanut butter and carob), no gluts (gluten free) and cat crack-ers (seafood blend).  All treats are preservative-free and without added sugar or salt.

“As we gear up for the local farmers’ markets and festival season in Atlanta we expect to offer customers more flavors, as well as the opportunity to mix and match their favorite flavors into specialty selections,” says Fleshner. “We will post our schedule and locations on both the website: http://www.HappyTailsOrganicTreats.com and our Facebook page:  http://www.Facebook.com/HappyTailsOrganicTreats.”

Happy Tails’ products are custom-made in small batches so consumers can be assured of their freshness.

“We bake fresh batches of treats before each market and as we receive customer orders,” says Fleshner.  “And, shipping is included with each order.”

Fleshner and partner, Mia Johnson, join the growing ranks of young entrepreneurs combining organic foods with projects close to their hearts, including their pets.
